      I have been the Account Manager for the Vinitaly International Academy Ecosystem (VIA). VIA’s ecosystem brings together the main institutional bodies and associations in the Italian wine industry and strives to be the conduit between the leading players in the Italian wine market and international professionals. I oversaw the portfolio of Supporters / Partners and act as liaison between the two sides. I managed all aspects of account business dealings, working closely with business managers, CEO’s and operations managers as their key contact whilst maintaining current business through constant communication and trustworthy relations.I actively pursued new business through cold calling, researching leads, and visiting new potential clients. My role was to assist the Business Development Manager in his activities and relations with the key account clients, coordinate sponsors recruitment and partnership development with the different Projects Manager of the Company. Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition, my role was to increase the client base, identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs. Show less I have been responsible for co-managing 5StarWines Selection hosted by Vinitaly. This three-day blind tasting is carried out by the 5StarWines Scientific Committee, this was officiated by Lynne Sherriff MW together with the General Chairman: Robert Joseph, Pedro Ballesteros Torres MW, Matthew Waldin, Bernard Burtschy and Daniele Cernilli. My main responsibilities were to manage and coordinate the recruitment of wineries nationally and internationally, leading contract negotiations and proposals with all vendors and suppliers and establishing and maintaining client and suppliers relationships. I coordinated the external sales team who support the event. I have achieved an increase of 12% on submissions from the previous editions.The event involved significant organisational and logistical skills. My other key role was to organise incoming wines from all over the world including their warehouse storage and anonymity. In addition I managed marketing content and ensured data integrity for the internal and customer-facing event websites, as well as printed materials.During the event my responsibilities included, but were not limited to, liaising with judges (including Masters of wine, Master Sommeliers and other key industry experts) and managing operational and administrative aspects to ensure the event was delivered efficiently and effectively. Show less I was Project Manager Assistant for Vinitaly Hong Kong, the Italian Pavillon of the International Wine & Spirits Fair in Hong Kong. My role before focused on market research and data pertaining to the export and Far East Market aimed to the promotion of the event and the resulting sales. I was in charge of the relations between us and the Italian customers.During the three-day fair at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council my role was to support the clients and coordinate Masterclasses for the Italian Pavillon.
