Throughout my studies, I gained a diverse range of knowledge and skills, ranging from courses in Chemistry and Material Balance Based Calculations to Project Economics and Plant Utilities. By working on various projects, I was able to apply my knowledge in real-life situations, which helped me grow as a student, researcher, and presenter. Overall, these four years of my life were a turning point in my academic and personal growth and I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that ICT provided me with. Show less

      Research Project

As part of an academic project, we, a team of five undergraduate students, embarked on a mission to recover cellulose acetate from cigarette butts with the aim of creating a more economical source of acetate. Our project is in line with the Indian government's "Clean India Campaign."

      May 2017 - Jul 2017
      Internship Trainee

During my internship in the project department, I was assigned to work on a Hydrogen Plant project. My responsibilities included verifying and analyzing various heat exchangers and reactors. I also created a Matlab code to calculate the enthalpies and entropies of all the streams within the plant, further enhancing my proficiency in using Matlab.

My doctoral research focuses on creating a microfluidic platform that is both affordable and effective in measuring material properties, with a particular emphasis on yield stress. Our work combines experimental and simulation techniques to demonstrate the capability of our platform to accurately measure low yield stress values, to the order of a few milliPascals, in real-time.During my doctoral research, I honed my skills in various scientific instruments, including microscopes and rheometers. I gained proficiency in the design and fabrication of glass and PDMS-glass microfluidic devices through soft lithography in the clean room. To determine the yield stress, I utilized a Matlab interface to effectively analyze and evaluate microscopic images in real-time. I also leveraged the power of R to extensively analyze the data generated from experiments, further enhancing my proficiency in data analysis. Furthermore, my simulation work enabled me to acquire proficiency in simulation software such as Comsol.
