      Lead engineer for the design of two major sub-systems on a UK submarine Weapon Handling and Launch System (WHLS) programme worth £130 million. Technically responsible for leading a project to demonstrate the safety critical hydraulic interlock system, essential to ensuring the UK's Continuous at-sea deterrent. My main responsibilities have included:- Defining requirements, developing engineering solutions, and producing manufacturing drawings and technical documents to meet customer specification. - Liaising with suppliers and producing equipment specifications to outsource engineering design.- Collaborating with the primary shipbuilder and the MoD to develop engineering design based on end user need. - Renegotiating the hardware delivery of £300k of equipment to perform safety critical testing and deliver customer savings.- Successfully obtaining design approval at design reviews through clear presentation of technical information. - Leading a team of 8 technical staff, managing work activities, schedule and budget to deliver results.
