      Tyson oversaw the implementation of presentations and presentation artwork outlining creative goals and intent, development, design, and construction of sets and scenic pieces for all productions, including props lights, sound and all technical aspects of the nearly 40 main-stage and summer camp shows produced during his tenure. As a creative director, he developed original set drawings and elevations; and acquired all props and acquisitions for all the shows. He managed financials, quote/bids, and administrative factors for each assignment. He also facilitated university classes in Theatre Production and in Scenic Design.Achievements:• Oversaw 2 Assistant Technical Directors and was lead Show/ Set Designer, as well as, managing and allocating a $200K annual budget.• Developed show set drawings and packages by detailing and integrating various technical show elements of the attraction by utilizing creative, illustrative and artistic presentations include imaginative design, color boards, sketching, various drafting tools and techniques to create dimensional scale drawings and models, accurately detailing construction techniques and methods for shows.• Coordinated student schedules with production needs and training, in order to effectively lead and employ approximately 50-100 students in Scene Shop or show positions every semester.• Responsible for management, procurement, acquisition, and fabrication of all properties for all shows.• Forged key relations with interdisciplinary department to create project partnerships.• Achieved improved safety and efficiency with implementation of OSHA Safety Training Program, which lead to more than 200% more productivity in the shop.• Earned KCACTF Nomination for Faculty Irene Ryan Award in Set Design.
