Supervising all high risk activities such as natural occurring asbestos removal, heavy lifts, working at heights, concrete pours using concrete pumps, to ensure safety compliance.   Reporting to the North Queensland Health and Safety Manager, this project role involved implementing and maintaining environmental and safety management system. The project consisted of a mixed-use office and field operations centre creating a prototype for Ergon’s future Hub sites around Queensland and set a new benchmark for similarly integrated depot developments nationally. Office and training facilities with storage areas purpose built. A number of structures contained Asbestos Contaminated Materials were demolished. Asbestos fibrous materials where found buried in the ground. All asbestos materials were removed from the project as per legislation and all air monitoring and returned negative. Large lifts were also conducted with the assembly of communication towers with mobile cranes. Show less

  Reporting to the National HSE Manager, this project role involved implementing and maintaining environmental and safety management system policies and procedures and reporting statistical performance results, conducting environmental and safety audits and inspections across the entire site, including with suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring and maintaining environmental controls in place due to the highly sensitive environmental areas close to both projects. The project consisted of the construction of two Water Treatment Plants on different locations to remove manganese and iron concentration which have historically led to water discolouration issues.
