  I oversee operational tasks working to essential standards and other care legislation. I oversee a unit of 3 assistant team mangers each with a team of up to 8 support staff which supports 8 residents. The residents have varying degrees of learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that may challenge. I manage a team of up to 8 staff members supporting adults with varying degrees of autism, communication difficulties, complex needs and behaviours which may challenge. I act as an excellent role model to my team in effective high standards of care in the home to promote independence skills and in the community to access a wealth of learning opportunities and activities. I conduct regular supervision and appraisal to the team to build skills and competency. Promoting and enhancing resident’s lives empowering them to remain as independent as possible offering support and encouragement to promote a positive wellbeing. I follow and contribute to person centred care plans. Produce reports on day to day activity and contribute to annual reviews.
