      Worked as a Navy Diver for a period then completed my trade qualification in the area of engineering, acquiring 2 trades: Boiler maker Welder 1st Class and Mechanical Fitter.Experienced attained on both diesel and steam vessels and on various class of ships as engineering watch keeper and maintenance.

      Positions varied during my 9.5 years employment, my last role was as Chief Crane Inspector for QLD. I was responsible for all major inspections and surveys, to Cranes, Hoists, Building Maintenance Units and Lifting Equipment. I ensured that all technicians maintained a high level of professionalism, ethics and work standard. My role was to ensure that all project work and inspections conformed to the relevant Australian Standards, (AS1418 AS1418.18 AS2550 AS1657) along with project management of installations and modifications relating to cranes, hoists runways and lifting equipment at Power Stations, Steel Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants and Open Cut / Underground Mines. My various positions also involved, identifying and implementing relevant training for technicians, conducting presentations to organisations, plotting information from surveys and generating reports, as well as, costing and estimating of projects.
