Coaching children from age 4-18 doing all different types of fun sessions, whilst helping them develop as players. Having an adult social session on every night when the adult guests could come and play. Involved in the night time entertainment for the guests.

  I went self employed and done causal coaching at different locations for different companies. Work included working with 3-5 year olds as a fun evening based session. Also experience working at a Youth Centre, working mainly with boys aged 11-16 playing football and different sports. Also completed the sport parts for Duke of Edinburgh awards for the young people.

  Coached across different age groups, within the Foundation Phase mainly (u9, u10, u11, u12, u13) this was due to changes in structures from The FA. Coached for two seasons with the youth development phase and the u14s. From Centre of Excellence to Regional Talent Club (RTC). Centre Manager for the Sunderland and Gateshead Girls Centre of Excellence. Making sure everything is running within the centre, managing staff and ensuring training and match days ran smoothly.

  Director of Sports Academies

  During my time in this role I actively coached the girls and boys football academy groups, supported the student athletes within the academic school setting and ensured that they didn't have any issues with any lessons. Offering pastoral support if and when requried, with constant contact with parents. Taking the academy groups to different competitions both during school time and after school, participating in the Sunderland School Games and achieving Gold Status for the school as a whole. We also had Cricket and Rugby Academy groups, to which I would liase with external coaches and again offer support to the students within these groups. Also included, planning and delivering sports festivals with our feeder primary schools forming a link with the University of Sunderland to allow students experience of sports coaching and physical education delivery with primary school aged children and working with the Sport Academy students. I would also work within the transition between primary and secondary school, delivering PE within the feeder and wider primary schools within the area of Hetton, Houghton and Easington. Football sessions taking place during the half term holidays, to allow more chances and opportunity for player development. The girls football academy worked very well to provide the extra support with students going on to sign for Sunderland and Durham within the talent pathway. Show less
