Have ability read almost any situation, learn almost anything to solve it. Able to function in hands on manner. Seek advice and Understanding for what I have learned. Apply it to almost any situation and do so in a timely manner. Not afraid to try and/or do something new. Use caution liberally, apply advice when given and respectfully use personal to the maximum effect. Not afraid, to relocate to different country. I may be a beginner in emergency management but the experience that I have in the support areas of emergency management with my education should make me a prime candidate for the position. I am an older man with training in Emergency management, leadership and in late 2017 a Doctorate in Business Education. My experiences are in Home building from the foundation to the roofing, Tree service & removal and landscaping. To aid and help people before during and after a natural disaster or terrorist attack is my aim. I have the training and experience in the areas surrounding Emergency management. We as a nation need to be better trained, and better aware of natural disasters and Terrorist activities. Starting with our children, we need to train everyone in the dos and don’ts. This is my focus Show less

      Seeking position as emergency manager

Hello, my name is Charles Day. I am 64 years of age and I have just last few years received my Bachelors degree in Emergency Management (2011), Masters in leadership: Emphasis in Disaster Preparedness & Executive Fire Leadership (2014). I have earned during this time, 38 FEMA Certificates, including the Professional Development series certificate and IS-100.b, IS-100.FWa, IS-700.a, IS800.a certificates. At this time I am seeking my Doctorate in Education Administration. I will use this degree in Emergency Management and seek to develop a General Template to aid Schools and to develop EM plans. As well as setting up classes in Emergency Management that will fit each level of schooling. I am seeking employment in the emergency management. I may be a novice in emergency management with little experience in the field. But, I have training in many areas that support this position such as build, tree service, Landscaping, (lay of the land). I have the ability to recognize ground movement and the possible locations of sink holes before they become out of control. I have basic knowledge in many other areas that will support emergency management. As I said I may be a novice in emergency management but the education in Emergency Management and great deal of experience in the out lining support areas which should make up for in the EM field. What I do not know I can learn quickly and make a difference in the EM Field. The fact that I am still taking the FEMA online courses will also aid me in the position.I will relocate with help of the employer to any area where the position is. Charles M.
