      This Position involved assisting in the program management & coordination of finance and administrative systems within different field locations and the country program in general. The objective of this was for me to ensure effective and efficient running of financial and administrative management functions within the country programs through formulating, planning and implementing the set strategic goals in line with the organisation’s global financial and administrative benchmarks. Specifically, I was deeply involved in financial planning & monitoring, proposal development, report management, Financial risk management using feasible means considering the operational context of the country of operation different field locations, provided sound financial stewardship/treasury management, guided the development of the strategic financial plans, prepared/monitored budgets and managed compliance with control systems as per prescribed policies. I provided sound leadership to subordinate staff throughout the organization. As a member of the senior management team of the organization, I was constantly expected to provide advice on financial operations including review of all large agreements with contractors, donors, partners, providers of credit arrangements and other third parties. I constantly engaged with a wide range of donors on budgets and financial reporting. I led a team of four senior finance officers and four finance officers whom I constantly mentored and coached to ensure effectiveness and conformity that drove towards the desired organisational vision. I strengthened the implementation of systems, internal controls, SoPs by regularly traveling to different field locations to provide short refresher training courses on financial matters to support staff and program managers.
