  Working in the Autoimmunity, Transplantation and Inflammation group, I was involved in projects related to drug discovery of compounds that could be potentially efficacious in inflammatory neurological disorders. This time was spent executing experiments involving cell based assays from various sources and analysing them using flow cytometry and ELISA techniques. Personally, I specialise in the areas of Cell and Gene Therapy, Upstream Operations, and Disposable Technology. This role requires me to have an in-depth knowledge of the science underlying many different manufacturing processes as well as the operation of the associated equipment. Furthermore, this role involves interacting with industry clients to discern their training needs followed by the development and delivery of customised material to fulfill these requirements. Our trainees range from new hires to experienced operators, lab technicians, engineers, support services and even company directors.
