      The Molecular Neuropharmacology lab is part of the Physiology department as well as the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience. My time in this lab was varied and involved the development of novel bioassays to test complex neuroimmunological interactions as well as performing a range of established assays to investigate intracellular signalling events.In addition, my role involved many teaching and mentoring hours with undergraduate medicine, physiotherapy, physiology, dentistry and postgraduate neuroscience students.       Working in the Autoimmunity, Transplantation and Inflammation group, I was involved in projects related to drug discovery of compounds that could be potentially efficacious in inflammatory neurological disorders. This time was spent executing experiments involving cell based assays from various sources and analysing them using flow cytometry and ELISA techniques.
