Assigned the trade of coppersmith I was then working in various areas on the shopfloor spurrier LAP tech centre bending pipes, brazing, silver soldering and mig welding pipes and chassis parts for buses, i worked in foundery maintenance on sheet metal and on finishing my apprenticeship worked in the coppersmith department at farrington bus site before applying for and getting a position in the prototype research and development department template making, laying initial pipe runs and making welding fixtures and jigs.   At this company we repair and do maintenance of commercial brake calipers we strip clean shotblast and respray calipers bridges and carriers before re assembly by technicians, we clean and repurpose as many internal parts as possible replacing with new any non conforming parts. I also do delivery's in company van and cast iron mma welding on castings bridges and carriers patching where the brake shoes have rubbed.
