      Activities and Societies: Environmentalist coalition Throughout my education at Penn State, I learned French, how to identify angiosperms under microscope, and how to think critically whilst reading a variety of environmental literature. additional, I worked directly with the Clearwater Conservancy and created the displays that are now present throughout their new property, Gray's Woods. My level 400 classes primarily focused on wetlands studies, seed morphology, and environmental history. I also have a basic understanding of GIS.

      I was in charge of feeding the animals, changing their cages, and working with the education animals so that they were used to human contact. Many animals located at this wildlife rehabilitation center were exotics. primates, lemurs, and kangaroos all resided here alongside species native to the state.Alert: A number of years after I had stopped volunteering here, the owner was approached by local authorities regarding an illegal rehabilitation of a Bald Eagle. I was no longer involved with Blair County Wildlife Rehabilitation at the time of this event. Show less

      As an intern at Centre Wildlife Care, I was part of a small group of interns who were responsible for the wellbeing of hundreds of injured wildlife throughout the summer. over the course of this internship, I learned how to properly handle animals, how to tube feed severely injured animals/babies, how to handle RVS species, and how to release wildlife. I also learned how to work with each species on a personal level efficient without getting scratched up too much (the only exception being chipmunks). my experience with animals at this wildlife rehabilitation center ranges from baby rabbits to great horned owls.
