  Lead a small team of fellow students to design, test, and integrate components for an AFRL (Airforce Research Laboratory) and UNP (University Nanosatellite Program) sponsored cubesat mission. For this mission, the University at Buffalo Nanosatellite Laboratory is building a 6U nanosatellite called GLADOS (Glint Analyzing Data Observation Satellite) to characterize space debris by gathering light data in low earth orbit.   Research Intern

  Worked with a small to research compliant mechanisms and design a compliant soap pump. Compliant mechanisms are flexible mechanisms that distributes loads from one point of contact through optimized structural deformation. We researched and brainstormed ideas for a soap pump that eliminates all the traditional parts like the spring and actuator. Set the design and engineering requirements to guide our research. Created a factorial design of experiments to systemically analyze data to see how different factors will affect the product. We were able to design a compliant soap pump using CAD software and 3D printed a prototype that releases soap through the deformation of its body. Show less

  Advanced Energy designs and manufactures high-voltage power supplies for the semi conductor industry. The NPI department is responsible for introducing new products to the production line. Assembled Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) power controllers. Worked with engineering team to generate engineering change orders to implement redline markups to drawings. Analyzed the cycle times for the different processes including material handling, assembling, testing, and packaging.

  Calspan operates and maintains a Transonic Wind Tunnel to help customers acquire aerodynamic force and moment data for sub-scale models of their aircraft. Using various instrumentation and in-house software, we are able to provide data for aerospace customers to develop their aircraft.- Worked directly with customers by providing high speed wind tunnel test support for various aerospace programs including models of military aircrafts, weapons, space access vehicles, and commercial airplanes- Used in-house developed software programs in the acquisition and reduction of wind tunnel test data- Troubleshooted wide range of issues that occurred during testing various projects Show less
