Assisting the Front Office Manager with the day to day running of the Reception team. Creating Rotas, gaining familiarity with back office procedures, (banking, IHG Rewards Nights payoffs to the PMS etc.) and undertaking night shift cover to better understand the role of the Nights staff and how that complements Day shifts. Taking over the day-to-day running of the department while the Front Office Manager was on Paternity leave. Experience with Opera PMS and providing a warm and efficient check-in check-out for guests. Assisting with group enquiries, including updating rooming lists and liaising with Tour Managers to ensure the needs of each individual group are met. As part of this role, I also work to ensure any guest complaints are dealt with efficiently in order to keep guest satisfaction. Duty Manager experience has allowed me to develop my complaint handling skills and also to ensure the Hotel operates safely.
