  As a member of a core development team primarily responsible for developing services in the middle tier of three-tier architecture. We develop web services in C# on the .Net platform using WCF design model. Alongside web services we create TOPEND services in C++ on UNIX and NT operating systems. Solution engineers get involved in designing and developing oracle stored procedures and database table design. I have worked on a variety of different sized projects from one developer creating one web service or one TOPEND service to projects with 10 to 12 developers all working on numerous parts of the project. I work using both agile and waterfall methodologies. I develop solutions in a pairing environment as successfully as individually. I work very closely with many other IT professionals to get essential information for project and non project work. Key Achievements• Launching a departmental team meeting to discuss development issues and proposing new development ideas and processes. I started these once a month sessions as a good communication means and as a way to share ideas and give presentations. I have been chairing the meetings and organising the agenda for each session. Actions are driven out from the meetings and each one is given to a person to take on, investigate and take forward. • Technically leading numerous development projects including: new Cash ISA products for the bank, rebuilding secure messaging project, creating a Document Management Store and an Extraction engine for document extractions.
