  I was assigned to work on several projects for large utility companies in Southern Ontario.These projects mostly involved custom weldments designed in SolidWorks. I completed three substantial projects from start to finish with little guidance from a Professional Engineer of Ontario. I was able to continue to work in the shop to create prototypes and final assemblies for my projects. When I was not doing engineering work, I assisted on mechanical repairs/installations to truck and track mounted aerial devices and digger derricks. As this was my second summer working at CUE, I was trusted with more responsibilities on a daily basis. Show less Assist a senior Professional Engineer in daily activities:-Perform stability testing on truck and track mounted aerial devices and digger derricks (new and used units)-Dielectric testing on insulated aerial devices and linemen tools based on given standards-Resistance testing on ground cables for ground utility vehicles-Annual inspections of aerial devices and digger derricks-Sound and light level testing for land ambulances-Perform design calculations to select steel and aluminum sections-Created parts, assemblies and drawings in SolidWorksI was also able to work in the shop assisting the welders/fitters complete products for ours customer.   At National Steel Car Limited I primarily use Solid Edge and Team Center to create all components on freight and tank rail cars. I am tasked with ensuring my models / drawings meet AAR and FRA standards as well as ensuring customer specifications are met on schedule.I am fully competent with Ansys Spaceclaim & Workbench Mechanical to generate reports for my superiors to review. I prepare preliminary bills of materials for our production requirements. Lastly, I use Word, Excel, Office and OneNote on a daily basis to perform necessary tasks. Show less
