  The Arconic Power & Propulsion Alloy Facility supplies vacuum and air-melted superalloys. These alloys are cast into parts used in aerospace, energy & biomedical industries. As a Process Engineer, I focus on the continuous improvement of our preparation, melting, pouring and finishing processes. I achieve these improvements through the tools learned in the ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Curriculum. Some of the principles used are: Lean Manufacturing (reducing waste), Six Sigma (reducing variation) & Theory of Constraints (eliminating bottlenecks). I became certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt through ASQ in November of 2017. My position has heavy emphasis on throughput, yield, and cost-reduction, all while delivering high-quality products on time. Show less
