  I am responsible for end to end recruitment of all roles at Northparkes Mines. This includes writing all job advertisements, selecting the relevant advertising options based on business need, short listing candidates, conducting phone and face to face interviews, administering psychometric testing and reviewing results, writing all contracts and formal job offers. I also manage the Employee Pipeline to ensure we have the best talent working within our business. To achieve this I visit universities, schools, training facilities and speak to potential employees about opportunities at Northparkes. Working with the team internally at Northparkes and externally to ensure we are achieving the best outcomes for Northparkes and the community in which we operate.I was part of the team responsible for all media and marketing as well as internal communications. This included internal newsletters and communications, and the Northparkes Mines Annual Report. I also managed the Northparkes Mines website and Facebook page.During my time as the Community & External Relations Advisor I coordinated the 2015 Northparkes Mines Open Day, leading a team to deliver the most successful open day to date.   In 2015 I spent five months volunteering in a remote village in Uganda. I taught English and my friend taught Maths in a remote village. During our time there we realised the most important gift we can give the children was access to receive an education. So during our last months we spent hours upon hours consulting with the school, community members and the charity we were volunteering with to develop a program that would benefit the children the most. From this Kusoma's (which means education) Promise was developed. After 18 months we now have 196 children with sustainable sponsors. That is 196 children who now attend school consistently and in 2017 our first sponsored children started high school! For just $15 a month an education is made possible for these kids. 100% of the money goes to paying for the child's school fees, with a percentage of each sponsorship broken into one of four areas; teacher salaries, school supplies (books, pens etc), porridge for breakfast and general repairs to buildings.For more information visit: www.kusomaspromise.com Show less
