  As a teacher aide I supported the teacher in any way needed. I taught small groups, prepared for special events, held special one on one reading time and many more child-centered activities.

  Currently, I lead a staff of 31 employees. This includes a Program Specialist who supervises our licensed 2390 CPS program. Also, one Driver Education instructor and 29 Employment Specialists. The goal of my department is to provide and support individuals with disabilities. Those looking for increased independence in the world of work are our main focus. The steps needed to reach those goals are supported by the Mission Service Department at Goodwill of North Central Pa. My responsibilities as an employee specialist are to enable individuals with disabilities to become independent. This is done by education, skill building, community based work environments, and many other tools. Goodwill's mission statement: "Meeting life's challenges through opportunity, education, training and work" is always the main goal.
