Oversaw design/construction of new manufacturing equipment in machine and electrical shop area, purchasing of equipment and establishment of all manufacturing and operational processes, procedures and modifications with focus on quality, profitability and efficiency. Routinely evaluated plant efficiencies and capacities while establishing priorities for projects involving machinery and equipment through time studies, and developed G-Code-based programs for CNC router applications. Engaged in development of new products and table/glass designs for commercial and retail accounts including WalMart, Linens ‘n Things, JC Penney, and Kmart.  Credited with keeping plant running during “difficult” cash flow periods until financial rescue occurred with new owners (NATCO, above) by closely managing employee hours and inventory as well as negotiating with suppliers to ship raw materials at aggressive pricing with extended terms.  Spearheaded company’s largest project undertaken with greatest ROI by purchasing new $300M automatic packaging line custom built by Southern Packaging Machinery that increased final packaging capacity from 5,000 units per day to 10,000 units per day.  Boosted overall quality while decreasing needed manpower by overseeing $2MM in purchases of commercially available and custom (in-house built) machinery:  Delivered 60%+ capacity increase by purchasing new Shanklin A28A automated shrink wrap line.New line replaced four manual systems and eliminated eight employees.  Drove greater reliability by purchasing and installing Busellato CNC router system and Giben Panel saw systems to replace older and less reliable technology. Trimmed packaging line manpower from 15 employees to seven while increasing capacity 100% by purchasing highly-automated packaging line. Spearheaded many cost, efficiency, quality and productivity programs. ===> See resume link for complete detail. Functionally accountable for evaluating order background and reviewing production/warehouse plans by collaborating with Plant Manufacturing, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving and Customer Service. Maintained perpetual Finished Goods Inventory and Raw Material Tracking System. Oversaw all year-end inventory counting, valuation and reporting, evaluated raw material inventory positions before placing orders. Performed all product costing involving establishment of standard costs using raw material, work center labor and fixed/variable overhead burdens. Responded to requests for product designs, samples and customer reports and set up, supervised and coordinated customer plant quality and safety/HR audit inspections.
