      I worked within the International Trade Department and Clearing Department where I gained hands on experience opening letters of credit, document management, client engagement, bank payment procedures, processing of foreign demand drafts and submitting currency related reports to Central Bank of Kenya. I was able to gain a broad range of skills enabling me to secure a permanent role at UBA Bank of Kenya.

      Key Duties and Responsibilities• Supervise the treasury operations staff and provide day-to-day oversight and management of the Treasury Operations Support team while adhering to regulatory requirements and policies. • Provide treasury and business units with projected funding requirements and minimize residual of end of day balance through active monitoring and executionKey Achievements• Part of the team that worked with the digital team at both local and group level to implement the banking digital platform by incorporating various remittance messages on the platform• Currently working with IT department and digital banking to automate Nostro reconciliation.• Worked with the Finacle treasury support system team at the group in automation of the rate upload system for foreign exchange rate uploads. My role was to ensure that various currency codes are mapped correctly in the system and advice on the necessary amendments.• Instrumental in reviewing the deal mandate forms to ensure that information matches the documents provided, by working with Treasury front office team on onboarding non account holders to carry out foreign exchange transactions. This was achieved by ensuring that they fill the deal mandate forms as a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. • Worked with the digital team in implementation of pesa link platform as a way of remitting funds. My role was to advise the team on how message types are to be mapped in the system.• Successfully handled Job scheduling for the treasury front office with the objective of optimizing labour efficiency, utilizing resources effectively to increase staff productivity and output, establish best practice as well as Service Level Improvement.
