  Donkey Handler

  I worked as a donkey handler on Porth Eirias Beach in Colwyn Bay. I had the responsibility looking after children whilst they were on the donkeys and keeping them safe at all times. Sometimes I would also handle cash from the customers. This was a summer position only and on an as and when required basis.

  At the start of my time in Crest, I mainly Volunteered as a retail assistant, using tils, rearranging the place and try to make displays, assisting customers with basic enquires any way I could, booking in delivery's and filling in orders in the books. A year or so after I moved over to Llandudno Junction to help my mum with cleaning the white goods and cookers, I used harsh chemicals to clean ovens aswell as bleach to get those fridges looking good! On occasions when people didn't come in or there was a space I would hope in the van and work with the lads which I loved. I helped them deliver to various places around North Wales, aswell as assisted our Ralph and other on many missions to England to pick up goods! We also did council bulk waste jobs, so we moved everything from garden debris too house hold furniture and waste, often taking them to the love refuse centres to offload. I helped regularly with heavy lifting and moving of white goods. I worked with a various about of people, including people on community service and those with disabilities.   I assisted and aided elderly and people who needed end of life care. In more detail I assisted with getting them up weather that be via hoist or with a lift. I worked mainly during the start of the pandemic so alot of my job was also supporting and listening to them when the needed someone to believe them. I assisted with feeding, aswell as bed baths, teas and coffees and busy time restraints due to short staffing. Anything they needed, I would help to achieve, even if it was something as small as finding an extra pillow or sorting a wardrobe to help out. - just to make potential employers aware.
