  -Use detailed understanding of operational, maintenance, equipment and overall performance KPI's and how they are measured to effectively analyze data and determine areas of improvement.-Collaborate with a coalition of teams and Departments to engage in improvement projects.-Maintain strong working relationships and connection with all Departments and stakeholders.-Continuous daily monitoring of operational performance metrics and intervening when needed to influence, change, or encourage good behavior and/or best practices.-Provide expert level training to Department leaders and staff with intense focus on the maximization of system/asset capabilities to improve process, performance, or troubleshooting.-Serve as the liaison between Departments and vendors when it comes to implementing new ideas and changes.-Maintain up-to-date expert level skillset in the various core software systems and automation tools.-Collaborate with the Rail, Yard, Gate, Customer Service, M&R, SSE, Labor Relations, and Vessel Managers to develop and maintain consistent goals in order to achieve the most efficient movement of cargo throughout the terminal.-Minimize operating costs by eliminating redundancies, refining/streamlining processes, maximizing the utilization of resources and Company assets.-Perform various software systems/application testing, provide guidance/instruction to improve efficacy of implementation.-Work closely with IT/Labor Relations Teams to drive/develop application improvements. Primarily focused on terminal on-dock rail operational development.-Responsible for establishing baseline performance metrics and KPIs for operational performance evaluation. KPIs are created and tracked using using Splunk, Excel, and Oracle OBIEE.-Analyze operational data to optimize planning strategies and equipment fleet utilization. -Utilize descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics drive operational improvement.-Present analytical reports to key stakeholders up and down the chain of command.-Collaborate with software vendors and internal IT team to test, develop, maintain terminal operating systems.-Prioritize operational issues for both internal IT team and external vendors.-Participate in project management meetings for terminal construction, crane maintenance, and software development.-Write testing plans and lead end-to-end operational tests for new cranes, software, and equipment.-Write specification documents for new terminal projects, processes, and operating system functionality changes.
