  • Carried out data extraction and analysis on a large portfolio of data as part of a wider company project; part of this involved learning the structure of Market Reform Contracts for different sectors.• Gained knowledge about and experience of the insurance sector and the role of brokers in dealing with clients and insurers.• Learned about the vast range of assets insured in Natural Resources, including Oil & Gas, Renewables and Power sectors.• Learned about how Oil & Gas is discovered, extracted and processed, and the types of insurance needed for these processes; this gave me an appreciation of the detailed expertise needed by brokers when engaging with clients in the Natural Resources sector.• Learned about the critical role of clients, brokers, and insurance companies in the UK's and the world's current and future energy security, as well as the push toward carbon net-zero.• Learned about the growing use of data in the insurance sector, for example in disaster modelling or automatic risk analysis.
