Clinical Advisors ring suitable patients based on service and NHS England policies alongside those dynamically reviewed by the Clinical Team Navigator whom undertakes continuous reviews of the calls holding pan-London to understand and reduce the level of clinical risk at times of demand and escalate as appropriate through other management and on-call structures. Other duties include but are not limited to providing clinical support to frontline ambulance clinicians and non-clinical control room staff, taking clinical handovers from external agencies, quality assurance and performance monitoring. Show less LAS Emergency Operations Centre Clinical Advisors remotely monitor emergency calls received by The Trust to ensure the most clinically appropriate care outcomes are delivered to the patient; “the right care, to the right patient at the right time in the right place”. Clinical Advisors are required to make dynamic telephone triage assessment decisions that are supported through the effective use of evidence based clinical telephone decision support tools (Manchester Triage Tool). Clinical Advisors are also required to routinely engage in reflective practice through monthly peer reviews of calls alongside formal quality assurance feedback from managers. Show less
