  Duties included assisting directors in rehearsals (music learning, cleaning, solo try-outs, etc.) and aiding choreographers (teaching choreography, reviewing, blocking, cleaning, etc.). Also helped with Boy's Ensemble (grades 4-12) choreographing and learning music. As part of Minis Plus, I helped perform and plan camp-like activities with 1-3 graders.

Practicum included directing 6th, 7th and 8th grade choirs, helping with show choir, teaching general music, teaching a "Rock Band" course (where students learned to play a variety of instruments including guitar, drums, and keyboard), and teaching adaptive music. Also prepared 8th grade students for upcoming show choir auditions at Iowa City West High School.

Position included organizing scores in score order, stamping identification numbers on scores, filing music, pulling pieces for use in rehearsal, and setting up for rehearsal 3 days a week. Position included giving campus tours to prospective students, answering questions from prospective students and families, setting up and helping with admissions events, and doing admissions office work. Summer worker in the Luther College Music Office. Position consisted of administrative duties, including contacting faculty and others on office projects, filing/ organizing office materials, keeping office records, filling out and handling purchase orders, working with scheduling programs such as Astra, Reason and Google Calendar, and other duties.

Oversaw a 9-12 choral program with over 85 participants. Increased high school choir participation from 40 singers to 85. Expanded co-curricular offerings to three ensembles, totaling 45 participants. Developed a comprehensive theory and sight-reading curriculum for all students. Provided each choral student with weekly individual voice lessons. Prepared students for All State auditions and Solo/Small Ensemble contest.
