Assigned to 82nd Airborne Division 1st BCT 2-504 PIR (LRRPS Scout Platoon Recce 3) June 2006 – Aug 2009 (Secret). • Combat operations in Iraq (Jun 2007 – SEP 2008) 1. PSD (mobile, ground, air) in Al Anbar Province, in the towns of Hit, Rawha, Baghdadi, Ramadi, and Fallujah. 2. Special Weapons Exploitation Team; Talil Airbase. Embedded with 5th SFG and conducted Joint Inter-Agency ops (CIA, DEA, Treasury,) against Iranian backed insurgents. HVT surveillance; ground, mobile, air (P3 Orion, sat, radio) classified programs for tracking IED importing, manufacturing, and attacks against coalition forces. IED/ Rocket site exploitation and evidence recovery. Combat patrols and DA’s executed due to my target/threat packets compiled during this time. 3. Downed Pilot Recovery Team/QRF in Basrah, IQ. While attached to 5th SFG, British SOF, Dutch, and Iraqi SF, units conducted air assault raids against insurgents, target/ threat detection from helicopter/drone surveillance, helicopter and rooftop overwatch. Multiple HVT’s captured or eliminated. C.I’s groomed and utilized.• Master Machine Gunner for HQ co during deployment, duties included fielding new weapons and combat equipment.
