  Through my involvements within AgriLife as an Extension intern I have had the opportunity to understand what an important role extension agents play in developing the youth and volunteers of the county and district that they reside in. When helping Emily with animal validations I was able to understand the other side of a service that AgriLife provides that many take for granted. Working with the Pasture to Packer program and watching the participants gave me insight on the impact that educational programs can have on the youth. Teaching essential skills though the food challenge and duds to dazzle competitions have demonstrated to me the importance of AgriLife. Seeing the impact that this organization has on its community has led me to become full heartedly committed to my future career choice. Throughout my attendance at Tarleton State University I have taken many opportunities to grow myself as a leader and individual, through these experiences I have developed a passion for people and our future generation’s ability to realize the important role that agriculture plays in our daily lives.
