      Record Label Manager

      I set up Both Sides Records for the Manchester based music charity Brighter Sound. The label aims to address the gender/regional imbalance within the industry by supporting and working with women and marginalised genders. I curated three releases including a full studio album with the band Stealing Sheep, which gained national coverage and radio play. This also included a limited ed 250 release vinyl which was exclusive to Rough Trade stores. I also mentored all of our artists through their releases, leading weekly one on one session with them to create career plans and set goals. Show less

      I have recently joined the Liverpool City region music board's gender equality subgroup. We are working on a manifesto to promote active change in the city region. I will be talking about the manifesto at Sound City festival in April 2022.

      I am an artist mentor on the Propellor programme. I lead online sessions on music business and industry practices such as release strategies, metadata, registering a release. I also support young musicians with one on one mentoring sessions where we set career goals and work towards future releases.
