Continued the behavior based safety approach to provide SME level guidance to both site management and teams alike. Since May 2012, we have identified and documented 320 deficiencies or process improvements increasing site awareness to hazard recognition and mitigations. During the 2014 EHS Enterprise Maturity Audit, as the Safety Management Systems SME, my matrix’s help lead to a Compliance score of 4.8/5 and an overall maturity score of 4.5/5 representing a leading status within the Boeing Company. Instituted an Executive Safety Council with the Site Manager as chair helping to raise management safety awareness, and work together to close action items quickly. Help develop the Fort Greely GMD Safety Team, with members from MDA, Boeing, BKSS, Army Garrison, Northrop Grumman, and the 49th attachment. Fort greely team recently won the Boeing Chairman award for safety due to over 4 years since last lost work time accedent. May 2008 - May 2012 Previously assigned as EHS specialist on the Sea Based X-Band Radar, (SBX), floating radar ship, implemented EHS programs that reduced near misses, injuries and lost time incidents by 50% since 2009; Implemented a Behavior Based Safety program with 191 documented safety process improvements; Increased safety awareness by strengthening the Executive Safety Council and Non-Department Head safety meetings to identify safety issues and suggested improvements; Created the Safety Action Item List to track these items adding increased visibility of safety issues for prompt corrective action; Maintained a robust safety orientation and annual refresher training program to strengthen the safety culture and hazard recognition on SBX; Customer (Missile Defense Agency) gave accolades that “SBX set a standard in GMD for Safety Culture”; Customer noted in one audit “SBX training is a program best”.
