  While enlisted in the United States Navy I was a member of the Air department's V-3 division on board the USS Bonhomme Richard LHD-6. As an E-1 and E-2 ranked enlisted my duties were nominal and included day to day activities such as, cleaning the ship, and mustering. As an E-3 and E-4 petty officer, I trained under then ABH2 Dayrit to become V-3 division's work center supervisor (WCS). As WCS I was responsible for the maintenance of the divisional firefighting and casualty equipment, as well as well as the training of E-4 and below personnel to perform maintenance and conduct spot check evaluations assessed by E-7 and above throughout my command.
