  Led the RIIO Price Control performance reporting. As part of Ofgem’s RIIO-T2 regulatory framework, Gas Transmission is now set up to deliver its new regulatory commitments and lead a clean energy future for everyone. As part of these commitments, we need to communicate and demonstrate to our regulator and our stakeholders that we are delivering the required outcomes, which will build transparency and trust in our performance. In addition, we have the opportunity to demonstrate that significant additional activities are required to meet the needs of consumers across a range of activities including asset health, environmental and cyber. I saw, coordinated, and led the performance and policy activities carried out across the Regulation team and deliver a programme of well evidenced regulatory submissions to ensure the delivery of successful price control outcomes for our shareholders and consumers. Show less The role focused on developing and managing from inception a program of thought leadership insights on gas market changes, to account for possible net zero pathways. Including options for new gases such as hydrogen and natural gas blending. In this stakeholder and strategic focused role I ensured a healthy mix of industry debate from a range of diverse stakeholders along with collaborative input into insights outputted by my team. The UK Government was a key stakeholder influenced to be involved in the program due to the policy prime mover impact on the development of new gases. This program was the forerunner to being absorbed into the formation of the National Energy System Operator (NESO), and specifically the Gas Advisory Council programme. Other responsibilities also included engagements with the European Transmission System Operators (TSO) engagements around market strategy, regularly meeting peer networks in Brussels.Key Responsibilities included- Accountability for the Future of Gas Steering (FOG SG) - Delivery of the Gas Market Plan (GMaP)- Gas market strategy engagements with domestic, European networks and market stakeholders- Gas market policy development Show less Led the annual development of gas supply, demand and decarbonisation pathways from the medium term to 2050, as part of the industry respected Future Energy Scenarios (FES). Gaining both market intelligence into the process and stakeholder advocacy for pathways. This included: running the program of analysis, ensuring robust validation processes undertaken, compelling presentation and articulation of the outputs and key messages to industry and listening to their feedback for improvements. In addition, key sessions with both the Government and the regulator were held to ensure alignment.Achievements included: - Delivery of gas supply, demand and whole system decarbonisation pathways for 3 Future Energy Scenarios - Developing the gas 5 year forecast process- Implementing Net Zero target into the long term pathways- Aligning the Net Zero requirements with the sectorial analysis Show less Led a team of 4 Account Managers to procure commercial services to support the electricity control room in balancing the national electricity demand. I managed a portfolio of service developments, to ensure they were optimised for maximum competition of service provision. For example enabling new participants to enter and for new technologies or business models to be accounted for within the services. New technologies and business models included the development of the Aggregator model where providers used a number of 3rd parties assets to provide a service. Show less
