Kris’ excellent performance was highmarked over the past 2 years with (and culminated this month with) the successful implementation of the new Case Management system for the Flemish Government Tax Office. As of January 2015, 400 new civil servants (transitioned on Jan. 1, 2015 from the Belgian Federal Government) are using the new system for both Succession and Registration Taxes, both being newly implemented within the Flemish Fiscal Platform (also built by HP, operational since 2010 and highly renewed and expanded for the 2 new taxes). Not only did Kris consult the client in the choice of a package-based solution (gaining personal trust from the client, and herewith gaining great client trust in HP), he also successfully led the POC with the Documentum/XCP solution from EMC (competing against another solution from a competitor) which was also HP’s preferred choice. Kris had built his team with great quality and complementarity and led them – setting the example and leading the way - in sometimes very difficult circumstances (e.g. replacement of project manager for health reasons) with and many challenges, both business wise(e.g. continuously expanding and changing business requirements, due to unfamiliarity of the FG Tax Office with the 2 new taxes) as technical (challenging the capabilities and scalability of the Documentum/XCP product suite). Nevertheless and thanks to the great dedication of the team (and Kris in particular, who worked almost every day, including nights, weekends and even on New Year’s’ Day) the application was ready to use (as planned) on Monday January 5, 2015.It is fair to state that without Kris this project would not have been awarded to HP (2 M€ over the past 2 years; and more revenues to come over the next years) nor would it be implemented with the same success.
