During my 4 years at UF, I engaged with coursework from 5 colleges at UF, collaborated with peers from numerous fields of study, and earned a bird's-eye-view of applications of sustainability. In my final semester, I am completing a capstone project titled "Mitigating Waste in the Supply Chain: UF as a Case Study" to identify opportunities for food and food-related waste mitigation at an institutional level.       As VPCR, I streamline communication between my chapter and the community to foster positive relations, representing over 250 members. I accomplish this by maintaining a strong social media presence for the organization, coordinating fundraisers and philanthropic efforts, and encouraging diversity & sensitivity education. In Spring of 2021, my team received a verbal award from our Regional board for being the first chapter in the Southeast to organize a successful, COVID-conscious philanthropy event that raised over $18,000 for literacy.
