Furthermore, Sergeant Ramer refurbished 10 flight line entry control points by repairing and replacing 11,000 dollars in parts, thereby securing F-22 aircraft worth 6 billion dollars. Moreover, he expertly managed a 283,000-dollar fire training facility renovation, ensuring 100 percent training capability for 128 fire department personnel. Finally, Sergeant Ramer's stellar performance directly contributed to the group winning the 2010 Pacific Air Forces' Outstanding Civil Engineer Unit Award. His efforts saved over two million dollars in contracting costs and recyclable materials and paved the way for the responsible transition of base property back to the Government of Iraq. Furthermore, Sergeant Ramer helped to lay 500 yards of underground high voltage cable weighing seven tons by hand to resolve a 96 day power outage in the local village of Bakir, Iraq. His efforts restored commercial power, supported local counterinsurgency operations, and strengthened relationships between Joint Base Balad and 12,000 Iraqi citizens. Finally, Sergeant Ramer led the reconstitution of three abandoned south gate entry control point guard towers by adding M240 and 50 caliber machine gun mounts and windows.
