      During this internship I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for approximately 150 people. I also lead nutrition education classes and activities designed specifically for those with developmental disabilities and their families. Us interns were also in charge of inventory control, from forecasting and ordering to receiving. We also planned and prepared specialized menu's and meals for campers with special dietary restrictions.

      In this program, I helped teach high school-aged student from around DC shopping and cooking skills to help increase their self-sufficiency and also to teach them healthy eating habits.
