  Coordinate full cycle recruitment for full time employees at the Wisconsin Union (UW-Madison Student Union), which includes the Conference Centers (Pyle Center & Fluno Center) and Center for Leadership and Involvement (CFLI). When fully staffed, the organization has 300 full time employees across 5 campus buildings and 10 academic buildings. Positions range from food service assistant to student affairs managers. In my role, I have:-Updated processes related to departing employees. -Revived a peer partner onboarding program in efforts to develop a holistic retention program.-Coordinated usage of an electronic personnel file system for all current employees and recently terminated employees-Furthered knowledge of our HRIS system (HRS) and reporting tools in order to make recommendations, such as development of a new student employment software and a new student wage plan-Learned a new HCM software, WorkDay and helped transition all of our current processes (annual evaluations, recruitment, new hire onboarding and orientation, employee relations, termination, any documentation) into this new software for our division. -Gained experience with employee relations matters in the workplace, conducting investigations for employees (both full time and part time staff) who incur work rule violations. Maintained I-9 and Criminal Background Check compliance according to university policies. Supervised HR front desk student staff team of 5-8 students who assisted with day to day tasks. Some highlights include:-Proactive research into trends of student recruiting across college campuses. -Created many of our standard operation procedures shared in a collaborate drive, so to set a standard of our BPs for our student team.-Updated our international student processes, which include instructing international students on how to apply for a social security number with their new employment with us. Streamlined international student SSN process, to make the seemingly daunting task of obtaining a SSN easier for hundred of int'l student hires each year.Although my role as HR Generalist is now my primary role, I still provide oversight for student recruiting at the Wisconsin Union.
