Inspects facility to ensure desired water quality is achieved and maintained. Makes necessary adjustments to the chemical feed systems, based on lab analyses, to achieve proper treatment of water. Ensures proper levels of above ground storage tanks and plant clearwells. Performs service and preventative maintenance of equipment and facility, e.g. inspects and cleans filters, cleans sludge from settling basins, changes oil, lubricates motors, pumps and other moving parts, adjusts belts, etc. Completes daily reports including records of laboratory tests and filter rates. Communicates with the general public, when they call, to resolve problems. Performs custodial work, sweeps and mops floors, unloads chemicals, paints, mows and trims grass and weeds, etc. Collects water samples (routine or emergency) for water quality analyses, and microbiological testing.
