      Architectural Assistant

The Project Team was tasked with developing a site strategy, through site analysis and mapping, for the Colin Glen Forest Park and Colin Park Leisure complex. My main duties involved developing a brief, thorough site analysis and community workshops, and producing a site reconfiguration, which The Colin Glen Trust could present for potential funding. The scheme sought to find a balance between commercial viability for the park, whilst maintaining its natural landscape and qualities. Additionally a connection was proposed between the Colin Glen Forest Park and the Colin Leisure Park, with the intention to CPO the "lower Glen" in-between. I continued to be involved with Phase Two of the project, pro bono, along side my studies due to my personal investment and interest in the project. Show less

I was awarded a research fellowship in Venice, in which I wrote a research paper on 'The Mat building Phenomenon, its relation to The Venice Hospital Project by Le Corbusier and Julian, and its role in Post War Modernism, in Europe". The Fellowship and research paper, demonstrate excellent written communication skills and my ability to absorb information and research. My role, whilst working at the British Pavilion, relied on me to be completely informed of the exhibition and all related topics. It was my duty to be able to answer any questions asked, give personal tours to Architects and important visitors and attend functions on behalf of the British Pavilion if required. It was my duty to be thorough, competent and present the exhibition at a high standard. Show less
