  In this role I led the coffee program for the cafe. Training, education, quality control, and coffee purchasing and inventory were all under my management. Twice a year Greyhouse would hire 15-20 baristas, about a quarter of the entire staff, with little to no coffee experience and it was my responsibility to give these new hires the skills they needed as quickly as possible to maintain Greyhouse's near 5-star rating. In order to better perform my functions, I took it upon myself to become an expert barista. Some tasks done to accomplish this goal include participation in local and regional latte art competitions, attending regional and national specialty coffee expositions, and becoming an intermediate certified barista within the Specialty Coffee Association. Through this position I was given the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to tour coffee farms and learn about quality control and coffee purchasing at origin. In addition to coffee related responsibilities, I participated in financial and strategy related decisions for Greyhouse Coffee. He lead initiatives to start a reusable cup exchange program, participate in the local farmer's market, and boost sales through an application through promotions.   Conducted a readiness report to the adoption of a Customer Success platform that would aid the CS team in their everyday work. As part of this report, I surveyed the CS team to learn and document the needs of the team to guide the acquisition of the new platform. I presented the results to the VP and Director of CS. Mapped out complex process of connecting a carrier to a customer to provide clarity while highlighting pain points within the process. I went on to prioritize the pain points so that resources could be allocated to the problem where they are most needed. Show less
