May 1991 - Nov 1994Manager Private Label and Export SalesManaged and expanded Private Label portfolio for Heinz Canada with major Canadian retail customers, while simultaneously expanding export sales throughout the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe. Negotiated and secured the largest single sale of baby food in the history of our firm to Russia ($21 mil+) while exceeding Private Label targets (3 consecutive years) in domestic markets.

Jun 1993 - Sept 2008Managing outside warehousing for the Canadian operations, implementing 'best practices' within traffic and logistics departments which included regular evaluations and reporting on the effectiveness of initiatives implemented was a large part of this position. Simultaneously, developed national 'Product Launch' procedures for marketing, updated Heinz Canada customer service manual and was instrumental in updating and developing efficient procedures as they applied to new product launch, business development and liquidations. Many of these procedures remain staples in today's training and operations departments at HJ Heinz Co of Canada.Also, due to the simultaneous expansion of both Private Label and Export operations, I undertook the responsibility to develop and train business development hire(s) to assume the Private Label portfolio while I focused on continued development and expansion of the export operations. Working with the national R & D team we created and launched new “native” food products (Congee, Beans, and baby foods) in both the Asian and African markets. Sept 2008 - Aug 2013Business development, client services, negotiation. follow-up, problem solver, multitasker and retail relations officer are just some of the skills required to successfully manage fifteen + GTA accounts ranging from small ethnic distributors to major local (i.e.Longo's, Rabba, Highland Farms) and national retail accounts (i.e.UGI, Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire) across Canada. A portfolio value of over $20 milllion. Driving new initiatives (while maintaining old), I strived to maintain that equilibrium in which both our firm and our clients benefitted through the opportunities identified. Additionally, as Liquidations Manager I continued to manage and develop the national liquidations department with a primary focus (but not limited to) shelf life sensitive products manufactured by both Heinz Canada Retail/Food Service and Pet food items and US operations. On average I would recover between $600-$800,000 a year for the company. Liquidations plays an integral role in any business model and my ability to move product expeditiously has proven that my end users value my experience, judgement and integrity. Lastly, as the Export Manager I continued to work and expand Heinz Canada's product portfolio through our worldwide affiliates.
