      I worked closely with the food services director and other staff members to prepare meals that met the dietary needs and restrictions of elderly residents. I was in charge of preparing drinks and desserts ahead of meal times. I developed an attention to detail when examining each residents dietary needs at meal times when preparing the dishes to their rooms. I also served meals to residents in the dining room two times per day while building close relationships with residents and their families.

      I volunteered as a assistant to the activities director of the behavioral unit of the nursing home located in Manchester, NH. I helped develop activities for the residents to participate in to keep them engaged and involved in many different aspects of the nursing home. I assisted the residents to get to certain areas for special events and facilitated a number of different games, crafts, and activities.       I currently work as a server at Brelundi and I have also hosted and worked the take out register. I am responsible for taking care of multiple tables at once and giving an equal amount of service to each and every customer. I have learned valuable skills in working as a team, time management and social skills as I demonstrate my ability to multitask and take care of multiple tables. I am able to work as a team with my fellow employees to cater to large parties and I also practice my social skills when interacting with customers. Show less

      I volunteered as a mentor and tutor to elementary school to high school aged minority youth at an after school program in downtown Manchester, NH. I supported fourth to twelfth grade students from diverse backgrounds and cultures by assisting with homework help, soccer, dance, and performing arts. In collaboration with a number of other volunteers, I reported back to the site coordinators each week to discuss progress made with the youth and other volunteers.

      I volunteered at The Moore Center, facilitating and teaching 2 classes per week to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The first class was a Wellness and Mindfulness class and the second was a Global Traditions class. A fellow volunteer and myself collaborated each week to prepare the class and facilitate each hour long class during the week. Feedback was given to us by the site coordinator and taken into careful consideration for advancing the material and class engagement.

      I volunteered as a mentor/ tutor to detained and incarcerated youth at a minimum security facility in Manchester, NH. I collaborated with a team of two coordinators and four fellow volunteers to provide tutoring and mentoring services to the youth. I was in charge of facilitating activities with the youth and helping them complete school assignments. I also helped the youth prepare for their release from the facility by searching for suitable job or schooling opportunities in the Manchester area. I efficiently managed my time volunteering each week while balancing relevant university coursework material. Show less
