      Responsible for Wood Preparation, Wood Yard, Chemical Plant, Evaporators, Lime-Kilns and White Liquor Plant - Causticizing. MAPA Project will produce 1,560,000 tons of eucalyptus pulp.Wood Preparation area have four Chipping lines, three Twin RotaBarker debarkers, RST 360 Chip Stacker for 183,000 m3 l, five bark Crushers and five Presses. 20 ha Wood storage yard with cobblestones and receiving areas for trucks and rail. Chemical area; Chlorine Dioxide Plant of 51 tons/day SVP-SCW (Single Vessel Processes- Sulfuric Acid Recovery). Tanks area for chemical storage; Caustic Soda, Sulfuric Acid, Chlorate, Methanol, Peroxide and Bisulfite. Evaporator area – 7-effect train with a concentration capacity of 2,070 t/h of black liquor to feed the Mill recovery boiler. In addition to supplying clean energy to the mill, an energy surplus of 166 MW will be delivered to the National Electrical Grid.Causticizing area. Liquor plant with a capacity to produce 15,399 m3/d of white liquor and two rotary Lime-Kilns with a capacity of 2x700 t/d. Show less Gerencia de Ingeneria y Construcción (GIC)Dissolving Pulp Project at Valdivia Mill. Responsible for the mechanical modifications to upgrade the mill to produce textile fiber and cellulose pulp.Incorporation of two new batch digesters and improvement of the existing ones to have a total of twelve digesters with a total capacity of 4,800 m3. Modification of the cooking process and incorporation of Pre-Hydrolysis and Neutralization steps. In addition, change in the approach system to the pulp machine and the construction of a new ozone generating plant for the bleaching process. For the new production process, improvements and increased capacity were made in the areas of wood preparation, water plants, cooling towers, bleaching, washing, machinery, causticizing and evaporators. Finally, an upgrade was made to the recovery boiler of the plant, incorporation of quaternary air and a fourth Electrostatic Precipitator. Show less
