  Provide leadership, direction and revenue generation for event services and programs, including a client base of internal, co-sponsored and external programs.Supervise 5 professional staff directly and more than 20 student employees indirectly.Manage scheduling and logistical plans for campus events and conferences from 10 to 24,000 participants for approximately 17,000 bookings annually including those sponsored by individual departments, faculty members, administrators, external clients and events that include commencement, Board of Trustee meetings and dinners, national and regional conferences and fund-raisers, award ceremonies and high profile government relations events that bring a national spotlight to the university.Serve as the chief liaison with university service departments and external vendors to assemble cost estimates, design floor plans, fulfill transportation and lodging requirements and ensure that all required elements are in order.Serve as primary connection point for on-campus reservationists and event planners, including but not limited to the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, and Protocol and Special Events.Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to execute programs and maintain a calendar of events for the University.Work with the University’s legal and risk management offices, facilities management, public safety and other campus partners to develop event objectives, site selection, contracts, and logistical needs.Spearhead strategic meetings with all pertinent campus service providers, resolving problems and developing progressive operational policy and procedures.Oversee the billing/invoicing and collection of all rentals and services for conferences and associated events to meet a set revenue goal annually.
