  My work at the Carechoice care home in Trim was the most rewarding for me, I got a true insight into the many different populations within our society and got hands on experience with residents mobilisation, hygiene and feeding care. This insight allowed me to understand the diversity of health and well-being needs needed by different individuals and possible ways to meet these needs.

  As a duty manager I am responsible for the smooth running of our 3 main departments the gym, pool and reception. This entails making sure the business runs in according to the MOP on a daily basis. Some of my key duties would be constructing the breaks list for all employees, pool management through monitoring chlorine and ph levels of the pool and amending them when needed, lodgements and when occasionally filling in as lifeguard, reception or gym instructor as I am fully trained in each position. In addition to my duty manager role I am also the health and safety rep for the Aura Leisure trim site, this entails monthly health and safety meetings, running fire drills and making sure the business is doing everything it can to meet health and safety standards.
