Planned and managed the modernization and consolidation of public-facing websites to leverage SharePoint and social networking capabilities. Managed and directed various IT contracts across the Academy. Served as the proponent for West Point IT regulations, policies, and procedures. Planned and lead the team that designed and built business process management capabilities using SharePoint 2010 integrated with various information systems. This included analyzing, improving, and automating numerous business processes such as contract management, hiring actions, staff actions, military leaves, foreign country travel, and organizational / enterprise events management. Included in these efforts was the creation of digital dashboards for organizational and senior leader decision making / information sharing leveraging automated key performance indicators. Developed various SharePoint 2010 based solutions to include creating and modifying web parts, .Net workflows, Nintex workflows, web services, InfoPath Forms, integration with Active Directory, integration with various database management systems, and leveraging other Microsoft Technologies. These automated systems resulted in dramatic efficiency gains, improved organizational effectiveness, and increased transparency across the organization. This entailed personally gathering and analyzing requirements and then designing and implementing a completely automated system (e.g., submission of application documents, processing of applications through the Admissions Committee, electronic updates to candidate portals, etc.). My personal involvement resulted in cost savings of at least $900K which would have been incurred by hiring an outside development team. Operated and maintained all information systems in support of the Directorate of Admissions. Supervised the operation and maintenance of automation services supporting over 13,000 users, to include US Congressmen, Senators, and their staff. Lead a team of 5 technicians supporting the organization.
