  Worked on Project RETRAP - “Reducing Transport Pollution". The project was aimed at stopping the emission of dangerous hydrocarbons from bad vehicles in Owerri, and contributing to reduction of the world's carbon footprint. I performed the following roles in the Project:° Co-led needs assessment in Owerri to evaluate the extent of pollution caused by vehicle exhaust fumes. ° Formulated a system that would drastically reduce the pollution, and create jobs for unemployed youths using Kaalink (a device that converts exhaust fumes to printing ink), GPS tracking technology, Alarm systems, SMS Alerts, services of traffic control agencies and the Police force. ° Co-led all brainstorming sessions, meetings, and project executions. Show less Worked on Project HYBROV - “Hybrid Oven". The project sprung from a previous team Project (SOFID). It was aimed at providing an alternative means of fish drying to replace the smoking technique in Obinze, Owerri, and contribute to reduction of the world's carbon footprint. I performed the following roles in the Project:° Conducted needs assessment to evaluate the environmental and economic effects of fish smoking as a fish drying technique in Obinze fish market, Owerri. ° Sensitized Obinze fish vendors on healthy and cost effective ways of drying fish without depositing Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) hence reducing the global carbon footprint, and stomach cancer cases. ° Introduced Obinze fish vendors to the concept of HYBROV – an oven, designed by my team, which uses two sources of power (biogas and electricity) that run independently and can be complements to dry fishes.   ° Completed "Hand and Finger Injury Prevention Training" course and "Weatherford RIGHTSTART Training" as an induction into the company roles/ processes in oil and gas servicing.° Gained essential knowledge on the classifications and types of oil and gas well completions and worked closely with Weatherford's unique lower completions equipment like expandable sand screens, EXR Hangers, SAT (Save-A-Trip) running tools, ACE (Axial Compliant Expansion) tools.° Implemented plans and layout for equipment or system arrangement and space allocation in completions workshop.° Worked closely with different mills, coil connectors, coil tubing slingers and jars, motor head assemblies, and other Thru Tubing tools and performed routine checks and servicing on same.° Performed complete part assembly of different SAT and ACE tool sizes to be loaded out to rig site as well as disassembly and servicing of tools loaded back from rig, under supervision of Workshop Technicians and Field Engineers.° Performed high pressure tests (+5000psi) to ascertain integrity of Gas Lift Valves and Mandrels to be installed with other upper completions systems for artificial lift in oil and gas wells that can no longer produce naturally.° Performed low pressure test (200-500psi) on Nigeria's first Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based expandable sand screen systems to be deployed for lower completions by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO).° Participated in weekly safety meetings where employees discussed personal/work related safety incidents and accidents as well as tips to prevent further occurrences - an approach to build team play among employees and ensure safe work environment.
