  R&D PROGRAM DIRECTORProgram Director for an FDA-regulated billion dollar medical device company. Built a high performing delivery team from scratch comprised of 60+ team members from two consulting firms (one offshore in Hungary) spread across 9 time zones to rewrite a blood transfusion software medical device for use in North American hospitals. Managed all aspects of the vendor relationships including contracts, performance metrics, and cost. The product was developed using Angular and Microsoft .NET, automated testing, and Agile methods and techniques. Interfaces were developed using HL7. Product was subsequently enhanced to support NHS requirements in the UK. Other responsibilities included maintaining, supporting, and integrating a product portfolio of disparate FDA-regulated software applications for blood centers, plasma centers, and hospitals. Successfully completed a turnaround of a blood transfusion software product that was 6 months late. Managed the creation and deployment of software that integrates medical devices with both application systems and a cloud-based device monitoring and maintenance platform which received the 2015 IoT Evolution Product of the Year award.
