Recruited MATC transfer students for focus groups/surveys that investigate how to improve curricular alignment, retention, and graduation rates at both UWM and MATC. Transcribed, analyzed, and presented findings to M-cubed Initiative leadership team along with relevant stakeholders at MATC and UWM. Aug 2019 - Jun 2021

Working at one of our 14 partnered schools in the Milwaukee area, the Junior High School Coach’s main focus was recruiting new students into the program and helping them get started on their pre-college journey. The relationship built between student and coach allows for teaching college exploration, ACT preparation, and starting college application materials. Most days were spent reaching out to students and families, working with school staff, preparing materials and understanding of lessons, and then teaching lessons. We also chaperoned and encouraged students to attend program events. Lastly, I participated in college workshops, organization-wide projects, and events. Show less
